Pretty good. I wouldn't peg this as a sequel
though, more like a companion book.
So I'm reading and it's not bad, right? Abdullah's good but nothing great. Flower-in-the-Night about the same but less. Instalove. (Again?) Quest. The regular. Then
Me: SOFIE!!! YAY! Oh....BABY HOWL!!! AAAAAAH. Baby, baby, baby. Oh, Sofie, such an inexperienced mama.
But I get to almost the end and..
Me: WHERE'S HOWL!!?? WHY HAVE I NOT SEEN HIM ONCE DAMMIT?!
Sister: Were you paying attention?
Me: *frantically flipping pages backward*
Well-played, Jones. Well played.
Seriously, though. It's great. I don't know why I didn't see it.
And Howl!! Cutest thing ever = Daddy Howl!! When he's holding Morgan like an experienced
boss. (And Sofie's still dithering about which way is the correct way to hold a baby.)
Who wanted a spin off book for Princess Beatrice and the soldier? *raises hand*
It was good. Loved the cameos from Howl, Sofie, Calcifer, esp.
