A Sea of Stars

A cute and charming little book in which, upon far too careful examination, the characters' relationship is moved along too quickly.* Still, when taken for what it is, it is a fun and fast read, probably best enjoyed with a young one.

Personally, the title should be something different, considering what the story actually is, but the cover is on point. And I didn't think that the atmosphere and writing lent themselves to such a modern setting

*It was the one thing that annoyed me about this book. I know it's a short book, so things have to move along at a faster pace, but it was too quick and the emotional impact behind their relationship would have been far greater if Miss Drake hadn't almost instantly warmed up to Winnie and considered her as more of a friend than a pet so quick.
